Culture
The city of Belfast is rich in cultural heritage, replete with concerts and events throughout the whole year. Music festivals take place in parks in the summer and gastronomy markets are set up on the streets of the Cathedral Quarter in the shadow of St Anne’s Cathedral. Culture Night Belfast, held in September of every year, is an event with hundreds of free live music and arts performances taking place all over the city.
Sites of interest
Around Belfast, there are many sites to see including the Titanic museum or the Crumlin Road Prison, the last standing Victorian era prison in Northern Ireland. Further afield, famous sites such as the Giant’s Causeway a unique coastal rock formation which was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1986, or Carrick Island are lovely places to see the rugged Irish coast.

The Irish and thus Belfast are well known for their nightlife which centers on the famous Irish Pub, of which the city has many, ranging in size and style from the more traditional to alternative, so for a traditional Irish outing, try visiting a pub.
