Spanish Experience Center Puerto Vallarta
The Spanish Experience Center is located just one block from the sea, in the centre of Puerto Vallarta, an area full of charming colonial buildings and narrow streets. The typical colonial school building has been recently renovated, has a beautiful central patio and is fully air conditioned. After classes, students like to meet on the rooftop terrace to relax and make new friends.
At Spanish Experience Center, special emphasis is placed on learning about Mexican culture both during lessons and through recreational activities. The school’s goal is for all students to get a real feel for the country and take a little bit of the Center's passion for the Spanish language and Mexican culture home with them. All the teachers are native speakers and fully certified to teach Spanish as a foreign language, and the school is proud of its friendly atmosphere, with the staff always willing to assist with your queries and travel plans.
There is a weekly activity program that includes various workshops, salsa lessons, Mexican cooking classes and social events. Once a week there is also a special 'Noche de Guateque' event where students experience the town’s lively nightlife and get to know each other better while practicing their Spanish. For the weekends, the school also arranges excursions at a reduced price. Options may include trips to the traditional village of Tlaquepaque, the lively city of Guadalajara and various national parks, as well as activities such as swimming with dolphins, horseback riding, surfing and scuba diving.

Spanish Experience Center Puerto Vallarta - Christopher
The school is located in the romantic Old Town, just two blocks from the sea. It is a very nice area. In the city, you can find everything close by – you can book tours in the area, there are cafes, small supermarkets and bars. The group lessons are good and there aren’t too many students in each class. I changed to having a few private lessons, which was organized for me straight away.
There's a lot to discover in Puerto Vallarta after school. You can spend all day running along the promenade, which begins with a huge harbor with many cruise ships and carries on to the hotel area where the romantic neighborhood begins and there are beautiful old houses, bars and restaurants overlooking the sea. I was a regular at a Cuban bar close to the school where there was live music every day and the best mojitos I've ever tasted.
On the weekend we went outside Puerto Vallarta a bit. There are beautiful small cities like San Francisco that you can visit nearby. It isn't crowded there and you can have the whole beach to yourself. Of course everything is really cheap, so we ate a lot of ice cream. I really recommend spending some time there.
I also took another boat trip to the Marietas Islands, some islands I can't get enough of. You really have to see the neighboring island as well as the main one - there is a huge variety of nature there.
I would recommend this language course and do it again any time.
