This language school was founded in 2013 and is located in the heart of Brooklyn Heights, a popular neighborhood in Brooklyn. This New York district is also known as the "Village in the City" because it stands out from the skyscrapers in Manhattan with its beautiful architecture featuring red sandstone facades.
The Brooklyn School of Languages is a small school with a family-like atmosphere, where everybody knows everybody and the teachers can pay individual attention to each student. The innovative teaching methods create a modern and challenging learning environment so that the students reach their learning goals quickly and efficiently.
The classrooms on the 34th floor of one of the tallest 20th Century Brooklyn buildings each have a wonderful view over Manhattan or Brooklyn. The school building is on Montague Street, a well-known shopping street with lots of shops and options to eat out or have a drink. The closest metro station is right by the school, so it's easy to get to other parts of New York and explore the city. The famous Brooklyn Bridge is only a 10-minute walk away, just like the Brooklyn Promenade, the best place to admire the impressive New York skyline.
The team at Brooklyn School of Languages organizes various activities every month, some of which are for free. Visits to museums, city tours, sight-seeing and movie nights; the choice is yours. Special excursions with the school take place on weekends in order to help you make the most of your free time and see as much of this breathtaking destination as possible and of course, to keep practicing English.
All teachers have a university degree or a TESOL/CELTA diploma and an ESL certificate (English as a Second Language) and a minimum of three years experience in teaching English as a foreign language.
